Functions

Transmitter: transmits temperature and other readings to the Base Station every few minutes

Senses temperature, water, electrical power, and optionally motion and/or humidity
Wireless: uses radio frequency to transmit information to base station.

Runs on battery power (replace satellite batteries yearly or as conditions warrant)
